Beauties with motors

Catching up!!! This is all from ages ago with Bugati, Ferrari, and Lamborghini (HEART). There are so many more beautiful photo to come that later I would probably just post another CONTI. for this chapter.
Because the visits were so long ago, I honestly could not remember what was said during those day. Hopefully the photos will remind me of some important notes (more likely to be strange, out of the ordinary, awkard notes than normal sophisticated once.. but hey.)
So befor making bike, Bugati actually made type writers, calculator, radios etc, boring stuff, so I'm glad they transfered their expertise to super bikes.
One a racing bike back in the day, because they didn't have this meter, that meter and the other meters, for example during the race, the rider actually has the lean on the side to check for their fuel on this transparent side bar. Imagine how dangerous it would be!
And the this sponge ball inside a tennis ball with water is used to clean the wind screen and their helmets during the race if it got too dirty and covers up their sight. (I DIDNT HAVE TIME TO CHANG TO FOCUS BEFORE TAKING THIS PHOTO...I KNOW!!!) Just by looking at the wheels you will probably figure out what kind of track this bike is for: ICE.
Bikes that attended the racing (forgot which one -_-!) during that specific year.

And NOW, we come to the grand Ferrari! First up is the first offical Ferrari ever! The red is a bit different, not because of the lighting or anything, but because this is actually the real Ferrari red back then. But after a while it was changed to the red we see now.

Polimoda Fashion Show 2010

This year's Polimoda fashion show is on again at the Saschall Teater along Lungarno Aldo Moro. 45 students presented their collections, some of which were really eye-catching. There were two shows, one in the afternoon around 6, and this one was the second, at 21:00 on Wednesday this week.

From the very beginning, the theme of "protectionism" or "millieum survivers" seems to be extremely clear. Though of course this is only my personal opinion. There are masks, tattered jackets, large over coats, thick boots, breast plates with a different translation, backpacks, multiple pockets, metallic materials, last but not least, protruding shoulders seems to be widely adapted in this show. This last above reminds me of Iman in a blue dress with a white dove mould at the breast. Which year was that show??? I have looked all over Style.com and google and I just couldn't find it...

We have a couple of summery cruise collections... Good, finally some color.
Now, this one above is Eye Poping! Model boys in highheels and bras... Omg it was awesome to watch them walk, as if they could be walking the same distance to hell. Every step was a breath snapped inwards... When they finally all staggered off the stage, I was only like: phew.
As always, this is a student fashion show remind you, so there just has to be some more likely "student projects" than other. For example this collection with tophats. I mean please..... no variation whatsoever with the designs, every one looks like they are about to hit the music with hip hop and comes with some jazz...Ridiculous.

This one here is one of my favorites. The designer was a genius to decide to use huge swirls of red wool and bind them together at the shoulders, use as head dresses, tangling around the body and the dresses. The effect as amazing. Napoleon in a way, but more casual at the same time. The last model basically came out full nude. She had a patch to cover the bikini bottom area (let's just say), but the cape of red wool was not meant for gathering at the front.

This last one was number 2 in the afternoon show, but because of it's "special effects" it was put last during the night show. Every model came out with a mannequin on top of their shoulder, and the last two acting as I have no clue what, one is white the other in clue, with high sticks (is that how you call them?).
Generally speaking it was a successful and beautiful show. Some of the desingers I have already seen before, and they proved to be amazing. There was one collection that I loved very much but was not able to capture with my camera because of the high exposure, but I will think of way to find it otherwise.

Practice Psychographs

First comes the main dish: Christian Dior. This is their most recent Ad, starring Marion in a tight two-piece leather outfitwith a Lady Dior bag at hand, trying to leave/stay/escape, but her efforts restrained - a classic picture of a worldly woman trying to escape from the social norm and restraints, seeking freedom of will, of love. However, what my goal today is do analyze the psychograph behind these Ads (many more to follow) as a practice, and I would recommend especially whoever wish to enter the luxury retail world or customer services to do the same. These are not my concerns but, it will always help.
By the way, these ads come from ELLE, Vogue, and Marie Claire of this month, two of which I had started my baby steps in fashion with…. (Nostalgic….)
So what do I see and how should I describe her…. And I’m hoping that I would succeed in doing so in Italian… Gooooood Lord!
Product picture sources: cropped from pages, www.dior.com

Ah, yes, I am analyzing in a complete Dior sense… haha, 1 point if you saw that, and if you didn’t…. read again….

Per lei, forse Le 30 in Python e colore ciocolata va bene, o New Look in Python e colori esotichi.

Omg I don't think I can do any more of this... It's very tiring work. And especially in Italian, I think my head is about to explode!!
Last one, FORZA!!!

Hm.... I really want a Lady Dior bag myself................ heart* heart*!!

23:30 on Children's Day

I had been surprised by an email regarding this blog, despite its commercial purposes (the email), it targeted me as a fashion blogger (!), which I should feel ashamed of, and hence this entry after a very long while.
For the past five months, everything has been about where I've been and whom I've met or talked to, basically nothing about fashion. Unless if you regard every word I speak as fashion, well, I haven't reached that high ground yet.Only yesterday I bought ELLE, Vogue, Marie Claire, all three together, but they are for a certain purpose, so again, I should feel ashamed...
Anyhow.
You probably have realized by now, the title today has nothing to do with anything, at all.
Lately I have been having an obession with Hermes, consciously and unconsciously. First was how I gave up that wonderful day of a chance to visit Versaille for the exhibition of Hermes in Paris. And then through the past half an year, I had its name again again installed in my ears and head and mind for many reasons. Now I have the logo as my desktop background and had been collecting all kinds of info on the brand and company -  but all this I am doing consciously - I can only hope that it shall be as kind to me in return....
Talking about news about Hermes, there's simply soo much. The creation of a new brand 上下 to penetrate the Chinese market, the passing away of former chief Dumas, the changing of hands taking place right now from Gaultier to Lemaire....So much is going on. Somehow it seems that it is trying so hard yet having a bit of a hard time maintaining its high luxury position and increasing sales to the middle class at the same time.
I never managed to think of myself as a Hermes girl, and now I don't how to learn to be one. Suggestions??
....
This time of year is a busy one, lots of things going on and so much to prepare. However, I have been abnormally lazy. For one, I missed the trip Fonteverde, which offered a free treatment, this beautiful thermal spa in Tuscany. And this Thursday I will be missing again an entire day's trip to The Mall, Dolce & Gabbana, Trussardi, Cuoieria Fiorentina and Space, and most amazing of all: lunch at Dolce & Gabbana Mensa... YES YOU HEARD RIGHT, I WILL BE MISSING IT ALL.... trust me, its not by choice.....
Which also means that I won't have a lot of material to write about in this blog for a while, BUT! I do still have Bucati, Ferrari and Lamborghini left from a couple weeks ago :) There are simply too many photos!! Basically at the end of both days, all our cameras were out of battery, seriously. And me and friends also had the opportunity to test drive the Ferrari California! Well, all this coming up soon.

P.S. HERMES!! PLEASE BE KIND TO ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5 Stops in Milano (5)

Who would have not heard of Fornasetti's.
We were granted access to the house, both the guest area and the personal living areas. The pictures will speak for everything. You will see his talent in his creations, and maybe even some craziness. Imagine living in this very house, for, let's say 1 week?? I don't know about others, but I might go crazy myself. It is a little toooo much. But then again, that's what makes it special.

"Musical Chairs"

My photoshop abilities have not reached the point where I can erase that hand and make it look natural at will, so I will leave it alone... for now.

"The Red Guest Room"

The work studio and the original prints done by hand with their matching screens for screen printing. The designs will never change but colors may be adjusted to certain needs under the approval of Fornasetti himself.
